  • Selection of pan-pestivirus PCR primers (324/326) for the detection of classical pestiviruses by RT-PCR assay which are widely used in many laboratories around world
  • Identification of 12 phylogenetic groups of BVDV-1 (subtypes, subgenotypes) which became a base for the genetic typing of BVDV-1 isolates with application in taxonomy of pestiviruses and molecular epidemiology of BVD/MD
  • First identification of new pestivirus species – pronghorn antelope pestivirus (Pestivirus E)
