Clinic of Swine
Characteristics of the workplace
The Clinic of swine was established on September 1, 2007 as a newly created workplace by dividing II. of the Internal Clinic to the Clinic of Ruminants and the Clinic of Swine. The pig diseases clinic is located in the large animal clinic pavilion and in the pig diseases pavilion (P 19). The clinic receives and registers patients (due to the infectious situation, the AMO is officially prohibited from accepting and moving pigs until further notice), is equipped with stables for outpatient care and stables for hospitalization of patients. The clinic is open throughout the year, 7 days a week. Normal operation takes place from 7.00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., when routine outpatient and treatment activities take place and the majority of student teaching is concentrated here. Clinical care for pigs is from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. every weekday and all day on Saturday, on Sundays and during holidays in standby mode, when, if necessary, a designated veterinarian is called by phone, who will provide emergency care for the animal as needed. Students can also participate in this activity as part of clinical practice.
