Clinic of Swine
Characteristics of the workplace
The Clinic of swine was established on September 1, 2007 as a newly created workplace by dividing II. of the Internal Clinic to the Clinic of Ruminants and the Clinic of Swine. The clinic has created administrative and laboratory spaces in pavilion no. 17 and stables, clinical premises for outpatient examination, as well as for the hospitalization of patients in pavilion no. 19. The clinic is open throughout the year, 7 days a week (currently, however, due to the unfavorable infectious situation in connection with the African swine fever - AMO applies an official ban on accepting and moving pigs until further notice). Normal operation takes place from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., when normal outpatient and treatment activities take place and the majority of student teaching is concentrated here. Clinical care for pigs is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. every weekday and on weekends and holidays in standby mode, when, if necessary, a designated veterinarian is called by phone to provide emergency care for the animal. Students can also participate in this activity as part of clinical practice.
