It was established pursuant to §3, section 2 of Act No. 147/1997 Coll. on non-investment funds on December 2, 2002, for the purpose of improving the material conditions of practical education for domestic and foreign students at all levels of higher education provided within the study programs implemented by the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. The main mission of the non-investment fund is to financially support any activities related to fulfilling its purpose, with the ambition of achieving a generally beneficial goal, which is to support education, especially within the scope of the pedagogical activities plans of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice and the long-term intention of the public higher education institution. The intention of the non-investment fund is to obtain financial support from various scientific, educational, research institutions at home and abroad, from municipalities, from the state budget, as well as from business entities and natural persons.
The purpose of establishing the non-investment fund is to:
- support practical education for domestic and foreign students within accredited study programs provided by the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy as a public higher education institution at all levels of education, especially with financial support for practical demonstrations, exhibitions, conferences, trainings, or other similar forms of education
- support student interest activities related to veterinary issues in an academic environment
- apply all other possible support that is in line with the main purpose of the non-profit fund.
