OH SURVector - One Health surveillance and Vector monitoring for cross-border pathogens
The overall aim of OH SURVector is to protect the health of humans, animals, and the environment by establishing a nationwide mosquito and tick monitoring system to create a One Health surveillance system for emerging pathogens.
The project focuses on:
- the early detection of changes related to vector and/or pathogen presence in Consortium Member States,
- the early epidemic detection and monitoring of ongoing outbreaks of vector-borne diseases, and
- strengthening the cross-sectoral collaboration on national and cross-border level towards an integrated One Health approach.
The project consortium consists of 8 institutions from 5 EU Member States: Austria (AGES), Czech Republic (SZÚ), Greece (EODY, AUTH, ELGO), Hungary (NCPHP, NFSCO), and Slovakia (UVLF).
