Department of Breeding and Diseases of Game, Fish and Bees, Ecology and Cynology
Characteristics of the department
The department deals with issues in the field of breeding and diseases of animals, fish and bees, where it provides the teaching of selected disciplines in the study programs General veterinary medicine, Food hygiene, Cynology, Feed and food safety, The human-animal relationship and its use in canistherapy and Hippotherapy, and Pharmacy, Animal Welfare and Protection, and Veterinary Nurse. The department closely cooperates with the Special Purpose Facility for Animal, Fish and Bee Breeding and Diseases in Rozhanovce.
The department is the guaranteeing workplace for the study program Cynology. Creative employees of the department act as professional guarantors of three cynological clubs and a beekeeping club.
The department was established on September 1, 2020 by expanding the former Institute for Animal and Fish Breeding and Diseases, and is established in Pavilion no. 2.
