Projects:
  • APVV-16-0203: Therapeutic and preventive recolonization of skin ecosystem in equine dermatitis. Principal investigator: Eva Styková, DVM, Ph.D.. Implementation 2017 – 2020.

The project aims to resolve the problem of dermatitis in horses by harmonization of skin microbiocenosis. The project presumes the selection of strain with the ability to colonize the skin, inhibit the relevant pathogens, and create favorable conditions for spontaneous skin recolonization, and verification of its fundamental biological properties in in vivo conditions. The obtained results will contribute to the spread of knowledge in the field of the properties of symbiotic bacteria in terms of their biological effects and applications. The project will also contribute to the development of biotechnological and natural methods of skin treatment
