Since 2017, the FALLING WALLS LAB SLOVAKIA (FWLS) event has been held annually. Starting this year, in accordance with the new global FWL rules, the event in Slovakia will be held under the name FALLING WALLS LAB BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA as part of European Science Night 2026.
FWLS is a competition for young scientists and innovators in Slovakia organized as part of the prestigious global event Falling Walls Lab, whose finals are held annually in Berlin on November 8 to mark the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989.
FALLING WALLS LAB SLOVAKIA (FWLS) will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m.
Abstracts for FWLS 2026 must be submitted by July 5, 2026, via the event website
Falling Walls Lab is a unique opportunity and competition format for students, young scientists, and innovators to present their innovative or groundbreaking ideas, projects, or findings. The winner of the national event receives a flight ticket to Berlin and the opportunity to present their work at the global finals before a jury composed of Nobel laureates and other prominent scientists and innovators. The winner also gains admission to the prestigious Falling Walls Conference.
