The University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice in cooperation with the University Counselling Centre of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik (UNIPOC) offers free counselling and services. You can use it both in person and online, whichever suits you better.

Our universities are working in partnership to find common solutions to mental health and wellbeing issues. We recognise that only a happy and peaceful student can fulfil their own ideas of a meaningful life. The present puts us in difficult situations. We have to respond to many challenges and show mental strength and resilience. In moments when you feel you are losing it, offer help. Someone just needs to talk to a disinterested person, someone needs advice, another needs professional help. Don't hesitate to contact UNIPOC if you need help.

UNIPOC is located in the centre of Košice in the premises of the UPJŠ on Moyzesova 9 in the Minerva building. The staff of the centre are specialists from the professional departments and institutes of the faculties of UPJŠ, who help students with orientation in a particular issue, but also with solving problems and overcoming difficulties. Not only in our studies, but also in our personal life, we sometimes encounter obstacles that we cannot cope with on our own. There is no shame in asking for help. The experts at UNIPOC are here to work with you to find a solution.

You can use the following services:

• PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING: mental health, personal problems.
• CAREER SERVICES: information on the situation on the labor market, employment opportunities, correct preparation of a CV, improving self-knowledge, etc.
• EFFECTIVE LEARNING COUNSELLING: effective learning techniques, individual learning style, improvement of time-management, reduction of procrastination.
• SOCIAL COUNSELLING: social relations, deficiencies in social competences, problems in the performance of social roles, and problems with managing social changes. You can ask your questions via email to: socialne-poradenstvo@upjs.sk.
