NORD GLOBAL 2019
The 2nd International Joint Conference on Global Changes was held in Bodø, Norway, on 21st – 22nd May 2019, under the auspices of Nord University and University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. Main topic of the conference was "Quality of Life in an Age of Global Change".
UVMP in Košice was represented by prof. Jozef Nagy, DVM, PhD, prof. Juraj Pistl, DVM, PhD, Martin Tomko, DVM, PhD, assoc. prof. Alica Kočišová, DVM, PhD, and assoc. prof. Daniela Takáčová, DVM, PhD.
Lecture topics were presented in four sections:
1. Responsible Food Production and Global Change;
2. One Health;
3. Bio-Economy / Urbanization and
4. The Future of Energy.
Discussions on presentations were of benefit to all concerned and they continued during the social evening as well. Part of the conference was allocated to a visit of a salmon fish farm, during which participants had a chance to enjoy beautiful nature of Norwegian coastline, including interesting geology and Sea eagle nesting places.
Conference participants are looking forward to the 3rd International Joint conference on Global Changes, which will be held in Košice, Slovakia, in 2021.
