Visit of Dr. Roee Gutman at the UVMP in Košiciach
On November 28th-29th 2018, UVMP in Košice welcomed at its campus a representative of Tel-Hai College, Izrael, Dr. Roee Gutman.
Dr. Gutman is a head of Department of Animal Sciences at Tel-Hai College and a researcher in the area of energy homeostasis - obesity, animal and human physiology, circadian physiology and animal behaviour.
After an official welcome by the UVMP management at the Rectorate, Dr. Gutman and Vice-rector for foreign studies M. Tomko, DVM, PhD. visited individual UVMP departments. A tour around the university campus started in so-called “Museum” at the Institute of Anatomy and continued in the Institute of Microbiology and Gnotobiology and in the Center of Clinical Skills.
Dr. Gutman got acquainted also with the premises of the UVMP dormitory and Aqua Terra Club. A part of the program was devoted to the visit of the University facility for breeding and diseases of game, fish and bees in Rozhanovce and university Equestrian Centre.
The second day of Dr. Gutman´s visit was focused on a clinical part of the campus, during which he was shown Clinic of Horses, Clinic of Ruminants, Clinic of Swine as well as Clinic of Birds, Exotic and Free Living Animals, Small Animal Clinic and University Veterinary Hospital.
A closing meeting with Dr. Gutman was held at the UVMP Rectorate where possible collaboration opportunities between UVMP in Košice and Tel-Hai College were discussed.
