The University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice and the Norwegian Nord University have started preparations for the third joint conference on global change. It's called „The Impact of Global Change on the Environment, Human and Animal Health." It will take place in May next year. The event is the result of many years of cooperation and joint efforts of both universities. As important social actors, they respond to the challenging challenges facing humanity over the past decades.

The first conference was organized by universities in 2017 in Košice. It was financially supported by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA and Norwegian Grants. Two years later, the conference took place in Bodø, Norway. For the third time, the conference will return to Košice. It will be an international and multidisciplinary platform for sharing the latest knowledge, exchanging experiences, building relationships and scientific networks.

The program is divided into three sections:
1. Impacts of global and climate change on the environment
2. The effects of global change on human and animal health
3. Impact of global and climate change on water and air resources

The conference will take place in the framework of the bilateral initiative "IGC - Joint Scientific Conference on Global Change", ID: FBR01-009, implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants and Norway.
