Offer for Ukrainian academics and students of veterinary medicine and pharmacy:

Dear Ukrainian academics and students of veterinary medicine and pharmacy, our university will do everything in its power to help you. Together with the Ministry of Education and other Slovak and Czech universities, we are looking for ways to enable you to continue your studies and academic and scientific work.

Exchange programmes for Ukrainian students

For students from Ukraine wishing to continue the studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice (UVMP), there is an opportunity to apply for an exchange programme at UVMP.
A student from another university applies for studies within the exchange programme in the form of a UVLFUA application.
The application must be accompanied by: documents proving the course of his studies at the sending university, or a solemn declaration that he is a student at a university based in Ukraine. The application with the necessary documents must be sent by post (address: Department for Mobility, University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Komenského 73, 041 81 Košice) or electronically (signed SCAN or photograph of the application and required documents) by email: mario.segurado@uvlf.sk  ; zita.faixova@uvlf.sk.

Support of the Ukrainian students and their families:

The University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice expresses its solidarity and support of the Ukrainian students and their families in coping with this difficult situation.

As a gesture of support, the university decided to provide our Ukrainian students and their families with:

  1. Remission of the fee for accommodation in UVMP Student Dormitories.
  2. Provision of meals in the form of free lunches and dinners.
  3. Provision of an extraordinary scholarship in the form of a one-time contribution of 200 EUR, paid in cash upon the student’s request.
  4. Study and social counselling through the Study Office (Ms. Žuravlovová, Mgr., phone number +421 905 899 433; e-mail: lenka.zuravlovova@uvlf.sk).
  5. Psychological counselling (contact provided by Ms. Žuravlovová, Mgr., phone number: +421 905 899 433; e-mail: lenka.zuravlovova@uvlf.sk).
  6. Individual approach to solving absence in the teaching process due to the current situation.

As a gesture of support, the university decided to provide Ukrainians interested in studying at UVMP and students of Ukrainian veterinary schools:

  1. Remission of the fee for submitting an application to study in the academic year 2022/2023.
  2. Possibility to complete a preparatory course for entrance examination free of charge.
  3. Students of veterinary faculties may complete part of their studies at our university as part of an exchange programme.
  4. Students of veterinary faculties may complete internships and clinical practices at the clinics of our university and their workplaces.
