Dear students, dear teachers and employees of our university,
In the attachment, you can find information about the Rector's Day Off on November 17, 2025 on the occasion of International Students' Day and Freedom and Democracy Day.
You can also find an invitation of the Student's Section of the Academic Senate of the UVMP to a gathering, at which we want to commemorate the values of freedom, democracy, courage and solidarity.
It is important to remember the moments that changed the fate of our country and it is necessary to think about what an individual can do to influence the entire society. Let us commemorate the historical context of 1939 and 1989. Freedom of thought, religion or action, democracy, tolerance, human rights are values that were paid for with physical and psychological suffering. They should not be taken for granted, therefore we must protect them and talk about them.
