The 6th International Scientific Conference of Veterinary Students, 15-16 May 2021, has received scientific patronage from the Rector of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences (Warsaw Branch), SGGW Students Association, and The Polish Association of Small Animal Veterinarians. Motto of the conference: NON SIBI SED OMNIBUS – Not for oneself but for all – NIE PRE SEBA, ALE PRE VŠETKÝCH

This Conference was different from those organised in recent years. The new reality means that we were not be able to meet in person. However, it also brought new opportunities, as it got rid of distance, barriers and borders, students had the opportunity to discover interesting scientific works and listened to great lectures. The conference programme included presentations by students and PhD students, as well as lectures given by famous specialists in veterinary medicine. They had prepared nine amazing lectures for participants. This was a great opportunity to meet and learn from the best.

Two students of UVMP in Košice were awarded for the best oral presentations. Student Laura Fischetti (6th GVM) was awarded in the farm animals and horses session, with the work Redox status evaluation in periparturient mares.
PhD Student Marek Ratvaj, DVM and coworkers Cingeľová Maruščáková I., Schusterová P., Fečkaninová A., Popelka P., Mareš J., Mudroňová D. obtained an award in the PhD. student session, with the paper Effect of probiotic feed on synthesis of immunologically important molecules of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).
