On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, appointed 27 new university professors. In the field of food hygiene, Assoc. Prof. DVM Slavomir Marcincak, Ph.D. from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice.

During the speech, she asked the newly appointed professors to always take into account in their further work that they are bound by education and the title of professor even more. "Because you can use your work to enhance the most valuable thing we have - the moral and professional potential of our young generation, which represents the future of the republic," the president remarked.
