INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS TO SLOVAKIA

Information about submission of application

Applicants shall apply for scholarship on-line at www.ceepus.info.

Required documents for stay in Slovakia

Network applicants:

  • submit an electronic application only
  • please respect the deadlines – June 15 (for stays in winter semester of the following academic year) or October 31 (for stays in summer semester of ongoing academic year)

Freemover applicants:

  • submit an electronic application together with following documents:
    • Student application:
      1. Letter of acceptance – a document from the host higher education institution (university) confirming acceptance of the student’s stay
      2. Letters of recommendation – documents from the home higher education institution (university) issued by home teachers recommending the applicant for a stay at a selected Slovak institution
    • Teacher application:
      1. Freemover letter – Teacher – a document from the host higher education institution (university) confirming acceptance of teacher’s stay and his planned teaching assignment.

*For all required documents a prescribed form must be used. You can download it at www.ceepus.info. You can apply continuously from the beginning of July until November 30, in case you wish to apply for winter semester, please submit your application during July/August.

All applicants (either network applicants or freemovers) with citizenship other than one of member countries shall upload a so called Equal Status Document (students and PhD students – please submit a confirmation of studies at home university, teachers – please submit full-time working contract with the home university).

Information for accepted applicants

As soon as the applicants are granted a CEEPUS scholarship for stay in Slovakia, it is necessary that they confirm the acceptation of the grant by changing their electronic application status into ,,Accepted by applicant". Afterwards they will obtain the Letter of Award (a document confirming a granted scholarship) and other necessary information about the stay by e-mail from the Slovak National CEEPUS Office (SAIA, n. o.).
