Characteristics of the department
The Clinic of Birds and Exotic and Free Living Animals provides services for those types of animals which clinic includes in the clinical, pedagogical and scientific-research area. It is specifically about all types of avian, small mammals, exotic and wild animals. It is specifically about all types of avian, small mammals, exotic and wild animals:
- birds (poultry, exotic and wild birds)
- terrarium animals (reptiles, turtles, etc.)
- small mammals (guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, etc.)
- fur animals (rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, etc.)
- bees and bumble bees
The clinic provides services for preventive, consultancy, expertise, diagnostic and therapeutic activities in the field of internal, reproductive, surgical and orthopedic diseases in accordance with the Act on Veterinary Care No. 39/2007 Coll., No. 19/2007 and No. 442/2004 Coll. o Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons of the Slovak Republic.
