Institute of Biology, Zoology and Radiobiology

The Institute of Biology, Zoology and Radiobiology for the study in English language provides 5 study subjects in SP GVM and 1 study subject in SP Post BSc GVM. Educators and scientific staff of the Institute are involved in postgraduate studies of veterinary doctors, as mentors for PhD studies, mentors within the framework of CVT and bachelor's and diploma theses. At the same time, some of them act as important experts in scientific committees within the SR and abroad.

Institute of Genetics

Institute of Genetics guarantees teaching of study subject Genetics in study programme General Veterinary Medicine. The education is focused on methods of genetic prevention against spreading of hereditary diseases. The main topics are general genetics, population genetics of qualitative and quantitative traits, immunogenetics, developmental genetics and pathogenetics, mutagenity, teratogenity and cancerogenity, molecular methods and GMO. Teachers and researchers work as supervisors of PhD students, diploma and bachelor theses and prepare students for student scientific conferences.
